It’s really happening.
After a smooth 6am drive from DU to DIA, Amelia and I are sitting at Denver International Airport enjoying our breakfast before the first leg of our journey to Philadelphia. Armed with our computers and bloody mary’s, we are ready for the day of travel!
This trip wouldn’t be possible without the support of so many people, but I want to take a moment to give my mom a major shoutout!
My momma helped us book our flights, hotel rooms, and made sure we had all our travel ducks in a row. She is such a lifesaver. THANKS MOM!!!!
Last night I attended the Banff Mountain Film Festival and saw a slew of incredible films. There was one short film that echoed important advice from the narrator’s grandmother that I found perfectly relevant to hear right before our trip:
The most important thing in a relationship is shared adventures.
I think this is true for all relationships – with a romantic partner, a sibling, a best friend, or a cofounder. Amelia and I work our asses off in the engineering building, but I think pushing ourselves to explore an unfamiliar place together will make our cofounder relationship stronger than ever!
One of the things I’m most looking forward to, outside of the city and the pitch (of course), is the opportunity to support Amelia in her first international pitch. She is one of my best friends and I’m proud to be cofounders of two companies with her. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and what a blessing it is to have the ability to pioneer the breast health industry!
Today I am a happy human.
I hope I was able spread some of that happiness through this blog with you. Stay tuned for what follows once we arrive in Paris!!
